Tarot author Sasha Graham will be hosting me as part of her Ghost Stories by the Fire series to launch the trade paperback edition of The Serpent’s Shadow on Tuesday September 12, 2023.
Joining me will be stand out authors Luisa Colon, Ben Franciscio, and Robert Levy.
The event takes place at Barrow’s Intense Tasting Room in Industry City, Brooklyn from 7 to 10 pm.
Scotty talks to author Daniel Braum about the glories of “The Twilight Zone” (both the show and the magazine), writing “on the borderline” and the use of “night-time logic” in weird fiction, using generational trauma as a bridge to another culture in fiction, trusting your own vision vs. the market, and not being afraid of ambiguity.
They also discuss Braum’s short stories “The Hand of Fire” (from “The Jewish Book of Horror” anthology) and “How to Stay Afloat When Drowning” (from Braum’s collection “Underworld Dreams”), as well as his novella “The Serpent’s Shadow” which is being released in print for the first time from Cemetery Dance Publications.

On August 26, 2023 I appeared on Into the Abyss. We discussed the Serpent’s Shadow and more.
There are technical difficulties at first but after a few minutes the show gets going with a wide ranging discussion of all thing horror.
On June 10, 2023 The Arcade Asylum Author Series in Providence Rhode Island hosted the “in-person” launch event for The Night Marchers and Other Strange Tales trade paperback edition from Cemetery Dance Publications.
The event was hosted by s.j. bagley and I was joined by authors Christa Carmen and Larissa Glasser. I signed books at the Lovecraft Arts and Sciences Council bookstore and participated in a Q and A after the readings.
I enjoyed shopping at the bookstore and encourage you to visit and shop there too. Thank you to all for making the event an incredibly fun and enjoyable experience for me. I had a great time spending a few days in Providence.
The Night Marchers and Other Strange Tales went to #1 on Amazon in the category of Horror Short Stories.
