On March 9, 2016 I hosted the second Night Time Logic event. Victor La Valle reading from his Tor.com novella the Ballad of Black Tom at NYC’s famed Lovecraft Bar. It was a glorious day and a great night. Fantastic fiction, fantastic people, and great spirits! Thanks so much to Victor and to Lovecraft Bar and to everyone who came down to make this a great day for all. I included some fun captions in the slideshow of these photos !See you at the next Night Time Logic event !

It was a glorious day in New York. March 9, 2016. The first spring like day after Winter.

The kind of day bands with tuba players are jumping up and down making wonderful noise in the subways.

Victor La Valle was ready to read from The Ballad of Black Tom at New York’s Lovecraft Bar.

I’m not saying author Chandler Klang Smith ordered and drank this flaming shot of abisinthe. But I’m not saying she didn’t.

Victor La Valle led the standing room only crowd in a toast to HPL.

A great crowd. Thank you to the staff at Lovecraft Bar !

Victor read from Ballad of Black Tom and spoke about writing and what HPL means to him. I enjoyed listening to him speak and educate us as much as I enjoyed hearing part of his excellent story.

Then something strange happened.

Wasn’t sure if it was some strange incantation, the alcohol or what.

I mean HPL died 79 years ago but I thought I saw this.

Later on writers gathered in a place with photos of writers on the wall to discuss.

Cheers to Victor, to Lovecraft Bar and to everyone who came out as part of the Night Time Logic event ! See you next time!
